Magelang, 23 May 2024 – The Tri Suci Vesak 2568 BE/2024 celebration at Borobudur Temple, Magelang, Central Java on Thursday, 23 May 2024 took place successfully. Around tens of thousands of Buddhists and visitors packed the largest Buddhist temple in Indonesia to witness a series of events in celebration of Vesak, including the release of thousands of lanterns which have become the National Vesak icon at Borobudur Temple."InJourney would like to thank the stakeholders and also the community who attended and made the series of events celebrating Vesak 2024 at Borobudur Temple a success. The release of lanterns which are the icon of the Vesak celebration at Borobudur Temple is a magnet that attracts people. What's special is that the lanterns used for this lantern festival are made from environmentally friendly materials. The lantern will completely decompose after floating in the air, so it doesn't cause any waste in the environment.
