So, what makes this village interesting and a must-visit?

Your itinerary

1. Attractions of Bahoi Village
As a developing tourist village, Bahoi Village offers several interesting activities for you to enjoy. Here are three of them:
  1. Visiting the Mangrove Forest Area
Bahoi Village has a mangrove forest that serves as a tourist area and conservation site. There are at least 10 types of mangrove plants growing in this area. These mangrove trees grow naturally, but some are planted intentionally to prevent sea abrasion. In one corner of the forest, there is a wooden bridge for tourists to trek. Additionally, you can fish from the bridge and watch the beautiful sunset and the silhouette of the mangroves in the evening, making it perfect for photography.
  2. Exploring Diving and Snorkeling Spots
Besides the mangrove landscape, the village has diving and snorkeling spots for those who love to dive. The underwater scenery in this village is as beautiful as other diving spots in Indonesia. To preserve the marine environment, Bahoi Village’s diving spot is included in the Marine Protected Area (MPA), ensuring that all marine life is protected from damage. As a responsible visitor, be careful while diving and avoid stepping on the coral reefs.
  3. Enjoying Local Culture and Crafts
Despite the modern world, Bahoi Village residents still maintain some ancestral traditions. One of them is Masamper, a traditional singing performance by several people creating harmonious and echoing sounds. The lyrics usually tell stories about the sea or contain welcome messages. As souvenirs, you can buy pottery, woven items, and keychains made by the villagers.

2. Accommodation Around Bahoi Village
As a tourist village, finding accommodation in Bahoi is not difficult. The village offers homestays at affordable rates. If you prefer more luxurious accommodations, you can find three resorts about 11-18 minutes from Bahoi Village: Kinaari Resort, La Merry Resort, and Eco Family Resort. These resorts are all beachfront, allowing you to enjoy stunning beach views from the hotel area.

3. How to Get to Bahoi Village
From Sam Ratulangi International Airport, you can rent a vehicle or use the shuttle services provided by local tour and travel agencies. If you prefer a more flexible journey, renting a vehicle is the best option. Nowadays, renting a car or motorcycle is easier with online travel agency websites/apps, where you can choose to rent a vehicle with or without a driver. As one of Likupang’s prime destinations, Bahoi Village offers numerous potentials, both in terms of its underwater beauty and its culture. Therefore, besides having fun, the village also provides an opportunity to learn about Indonesia’s cultural diversity. After exploring Bahoi Village, you can visit some of Likupang's hidden tourist spots, such as Surabaya Beach, Sampiran Beach, Batu Angus Beach, and Lake Linow.
