This spot is open 24 hours, so tourists don't have to worry about hunger on the road. From this location, you can enjoy beautiful mountain scenery while sipping tea, coffee, or warm ginger, paired with snacks like grilled corn, instant food, or wajik. This will surely energize you for your next destination.

2. Explore Desa Sippan
After navigating winding, hilly roads, you’ll arrive at Desa Sippan, located in Pamatang Silimahuta District, Simalungun Regency. This village gained fame with the viral Anugrah Indah tourist spot at Lake Toba. From here, you can view the stunning Lake Toba, the bare hills of Sipiso-piso, and the settlements at the foot of the hills. This spot is not only great for photos but also perfect for camping and relaxing.

3. Play in the Water at Sipiso-Piso Waterfall
After enjoying the scenery at Desa Sippan, head to Sipiso-Piso Waterfall. This location is one of the best places to view Lake Toba from a height. With a height of 120 meters, Sipiso-Piso is one of the highest waterfalls in Karo and Sumatra. You can enjoy the waterfall from above and also experience its beauty from below by climbing hundreds of steps. The effort will be worth it as you feel the cool spray and admire the towering waterfall.

4. Relaxing Trek at Gajah Bobok
Next, visit Gajah Bobok, just a 15-minute drive from Sipiso-Piso Waterfall. Named Gajah Bobok because, from the Kabanjahe - Sidikalang road, the hill resembles a sleeping elephant with its trunk. The hill is surrounded by pine trees, offering a stunning view of Lake Toba. This location is also ideal for camping and paragliding. Another exciting activity is trekking to the summit of Gajah Bobok. The trekking path is relatively easy for beginners.

5. Enjoy the Scenery at Tongging
Driving along the winding road on the hillside towards Tongging will amaze you with its stunning views. A luxurious pier is being built in Tongging as a link to Samosir Island. From Tongging, you can also see the beautiful Sipiso-Piso Waterfall cascading through Tongging and into Lake Toba. Enjoy dining at a floating restaurant that serves national dishes and enticing grilled fish with spicy sambal.

6. Camping at Paropo
After enjoying Tongging, head to Paropo. On the way, you'll pass farmland often dominated by mango and red onion trees. Many tourists take the opportunity to fish here. Paropo is also a favorite camping spot around Lake Toba.

7. Explore Tao Silalahi by Fisherman’s Boat
Finally, head to Silalahi. Various activities are available here. Besides sitting and swimming, taking a boat tour around Tao Silalahi, which can be rented, is also enjoyable. Here, you’ll find the Silalahi Monument, one of the Batak Toba clans now present throughout Indonesia.
