1. Tjhia Family Old House
The Tjhia Family Old House is the oldest Chinese house in Singkawang, a heritage site of the Tjhia family. Uniquely, although it is a heritage site, the house is still inhabited by the descendants of the Tjhia family. Built in 1902 and designated as a cultural heritage site by the Singkawang City Government in 1999, it is named the Traditional Area of the Tjhia Family House. Strategically located in the Hongkong Market area, it is easily accessible and not far from the oldest temple in Singkawang, the Tri Dharma Bumi Raya Temple. Besides exploring the history of the Chinese house, visitors can enjoy the culinary delights available at the stalls in the Tjhia Family Old House area, such as Choi Pan cake, rujak, bongko, talam ebi, Singkawang's special lemonade, fermented orange juice, soy milk or tofu water, and more.


2. Tri Dharma Bumi Raya Temple
This temple is the oldest place of worship for the Tri Dharma (Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism) in Singkawang, established in 1878. Located near the Tjhia Family Old House, it is an interesting tourist attraction to visit. During Chinese New Year, this temple will be crowded with Chinese residents coming to pray. Visitors come not only from Singkawang but also from outside the city and even from abroad. This temple is also the place where the Tatungs ask for permission from the Earth God to perform the city cleansing ritual before Cap Go Meh. On the right side of the temple, there is a small park with paintings depicting the life of the Chinese community, illustrating safety, peace, and prosperity.


3. Hongkong Market
After visiting historical tourist spots in Singkawang, it's time to explore culinary delights by visiting Hongkong Market. If you want to enjoy oriental cuisine, you don't need to travel far to China or Hong Kong because Hongkong Market in Singkawang offers authentic dishes from the Bamboo Curtain Country. Upon entering the Hongkong Market area, you will immediately be greeted by the aroma of delicious Chinese food. Hongkong Market only opens in the afternoon and evening, so make sure to visit at the right time.
